End of Movember

(or Back to Normality)

For those of you who don't know Movember is about raising funds for research into men's health issues, principally Prostate and Testicular Cancer. (The goals of Movember in their own words) The objective is to grow a moustache during the month of November. Yes, it's that hard. (if a little gender exclusive!)

So here it is after 30 days of hard graft ... and blessed relief 5 minutes later!

So that's it. Shaving is so worth it!

  1. Lookin' good, Dom. I remember when my brother Clint, a redhead, was 19 and in the Canadian Navy. He got to sleep longer than everyone else because he didn't have to shave every day.
I can relate to the Movember objectives because Clint and I have a much-younger brother who discovered he had testicular cancer before he had children. Fortunately, his doctor was able to have it dealt with swiftly, and we have a beautiful young niece and handsome young nephew, now 12 and 10 respectively.

  2. That's really good to hear Kay... and that your family is a refuge for the reclusive red gene! Has it popped up anywhere in the next generation?

  4. Nice job! What did your wife think about your whiskers? I bet she was happier than you were to see them shaved away. LOL

  5. We met up with my cousin and uncle to celebrate his 90th birthday and when Sarah was elsewhere I mentioned that she would be glad to see it go. When she came back, my cousin said "Oh Sarah I gather you'll be glad to see the back of Dominic's mustache. I didn't see her face, but they all burst out laughing. I think that says it all!

  6. That's quite a difference! I'm not sure I'd have enough to show for it, even after a month. I come from such a hairless family...
And I'm working on the outline for my next book now.
