Microfiction Monday 8 Nov 10

OK, I know Monday has passed, but I didn't leave the office until nearly 11pm yesterday and by then my creativity wasn't up to it!

Susan at Stony River hosts Microfiction Monday ... head on over if you want to know the rules!

So here is this week's picture

"Take a leaf out of your sister's book," her Mum said.
Hmmm.
So ... which one is it?

  1. Oh, this is perfect! They do take things so literally at that age, don't they?

  3. Hi Dominic - This made me smile. I grew up in New England (New Hampshire and Massachusetts) and waited breathlessly for autumn to arrive each year because the trees were so beautiful...so much color it hurt my eyes. Anyway, I recall walking one day (age 8 or thereabout), late autumn, with tons of leaves blanketing everything and wondering if they were like snowflakes...each one different, and how could I ever choose the perfect one?

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I appreciate your time!

  4. Okay, Dominic, so now I have to comment back again about your comment back...LOL Love your story about falling leaves being saved for wishes. What a great memoir tale! Sounds like a Chicken Soup for the Soul story to me.

So glad your Holly enjoyed Chutsky's post about being rescued. :D Those little minis are terrific pets. I've yet to meet one who didn't have a wonderful (colorful!) personality.

  5. That's what makes kids so lovable. :)

Reminds me of the time Mom said to baby sis, "Hold your horses!". Five minutes later little sis said, "How much longer? My horses are getting heavy!"

Glad you took the time to play...you made me smile.
