Today's picture:
This week's micros have abandoned the usual humour for an altogether darker take ...
---oOo---
The sanatorium had been abandoned for years. So was the laughter just inside his head?
---oOo---
Last time he walked the hospital corridors the pandemic was still new. His global work complete, Death returned once more, redundant.
---oOo---
The vengeful spirit's malignancy closed it down. Now, vengeance spent, it's empty corridors are a private hell.
---oOo---
What a fun idea! i love what you wrote. It exactly captures the image - I thought immediately of an abandoned hospital or asylum. I'd like to take a stab at it (maybe on a slightly less dark picture!) but I don't know if I could stay under 140 words. I've probably already passed that in this post :)
ReplyDeleteCreepy! I immediately thought of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' - liked them all.
ReplyDeleteSo you must be in a different time zone than me.
ReplyDeleteSpooky...esp the one where you can hear the laughter...
ReplyDeleteOwww, the first one is my favourite.

Ooh SUPERB micros! :O)
ReplyDeleteVery creepy today, and so suitable to the pic. Loved the triple micro!
ReplyDeleteI think I must have been haunted last week because somehow I have got a completely different picture for this week's MM! :0
ReplyDeleteStill I've posted an entry, albeit to a different picture to everyone else! LOL
As always you did a great job!
Yup the laughter does it for me, good one thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea of death feeling like he's redundant!
ReplyDeleteGosh three great MF's and all were a little creepy. LOVE THAT!
ReplyDeleteFun game! Creepy pic! Story def. suites it.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you what this reminds me of...a scene in the Exorcist 3 in which this nurse gets killed and the shot is done from the end of the hall looking at the nurse's station...very creepy.
ReplyDeleteI would have nightmares from that picture. Nice interpretations, Dom.

Excellent. I loved the first one, especially. Subtle and creepy.
ReplyDeleteSo many different takes and yet, the first is still my favorite! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI got a sanitorium feel fromt he picture right away. I loved that first one. Well, they were all so interesting.
ReplyDelete......dhole
Oh my-these are all wonderful! I especially enjoyed #3 ("spirit's malignancy-fantastic!)
ReplyDeleteI like them all, but I think the first one is my favourite! Have a great remainder of the week ahead. Cheers~
