Haiku Wednesday Integrity

Sensational Haiku Wednesday

You know ... that Blog?

Today's topic is Integrity

A thought for the day: Integrity means not being swayed by the world around you ... but can you keep your integrity if you do not engage with it?

Gratification
Siren call of temptation
Falling on deaf ears

Own up or cover up?
Guilt and fear corrode the soul
The truth brings freedom

Vengeance for the wronged
Compassion for the sinner
Where is the right path?

  2. I love haiku and these are all nice. I would love to play, but I'm having a hard time keeping up as it is... and by the way, I awarded you with an award - but no worries if you don't want to play. See my blog for details.

  7. "...corrode the soul". You're right, you know. That is exactly what they do. Very nicely written, Dom.

  8. Thanks for checking my blog out. I love Haiku; it is one of the most direct and incisive of poetry. My students always amazed me. I, too, love the 2nd one the most. Freedom.
