Ok I know that this nothing if you live in the snow belt south of Michigan, but for the UK this is serious stuff! :D
How is the weather where you are?
The wonderful thing about Colorado is, that when it snows, and we can get snowed in, it melts within a week. (Except the mountains) Denver is on the front range of the mountains. I lived in Minnesota for awhile and attended college there. Snow for six months and in Dec - March, windshield below 50 many times.
ReplyDeleteRight now, no snow in Denver. Very unusual, lots in the mountains, sunny, no coat needed yesterday, but with clouds the weather can drop pretty fast. It's just after 6 a.m. right now and I haven't seen the weather report.
Stay warm and safe.

I heard about the winter weather there. Crazy. It's just cold here, but no snow. Keep warm.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteJust walked down to the shops. Its not too cold 28F or so. Hot bag of chips from the fish and chip shop was just the ticket!
yeah Dom this is a lot. My first year in Iowa my boss had to get me one of those special lights bcos I got depressed, the snow would not melt it just kept on piling on for 5 straight months!
ReplyDeleteIt's FREEZING right now in San Diego: under 60 (F) in the mornings lately. =) My wife and I are going to Michigan this Christmas, and we're hoping for SNOW.

That's a lot of snow! It isn't like that around here that often. There's snow outside right now--it's not much, but it did snow with the big, wet flakes yesterday so that it looked like we were inside a snowglobe. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow pics!!! OH I love snow at this time - so chrismassy! Herts is just about under a cm of snow! LOL! And London (where I work) is slushy but snow drifts come and go!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
SO much snow! It wasn't that bad last week here but it definitely messed up my getting to school schedule. It's going to be a bad year (apparently). I am not really excited.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics
ReplyDeleteEverywhere seemed to have snow here in UK except us, until last night when it fell. Not too deep, but deep enough. :O)
That is serious stuff! The UK doesn't look like it's going to have an easy winter.
ReplyDeleteJai
Gross Gross Gross Gross!! I think we have stolen your weather, here. Usually it is well below 50's by now here but...nope. Cold but not nearly THAT!
ReplyDeleteI live in Florida, so just looking at that makes me shiver. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHere on the Prairies of Canada, three-foot snowdrifts are a given. But my brother was in Europe for his honeymoon in January, and said that just a skiff of snow shut everything down there. Not too many vehicles with snow tires, I'm assuming;0)
ReplyDeleteHope you don't have to suffer too long!
I love snow...as long as I can come indoors to a warm fire and hot cocoa when I'm tired of it! I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area and more than a few inches of snow is rare here, and when it does fall it doesn't last. The flip side to that is that occasionally we do get hit hard, and then everything shuts down. Atlanta doesn't know what to do with a heavy snowfall.
ReplyDeleteI heard you guys had a lot of snow there. Wow!
ReplyDeleteFortunately we are still snow-free. But I know it won't last.
There has been none of the nasty white stuff around here, so (and this is going to sound mean) please keep it there with you... LOL!
ReplyDeleteI loved your snowy pictures.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the "deep and crisp and even" we have to worry about here, the ice underneath our light dusting is lethal.
I'm in Lancashire and we certainly haven't had it half as bad as Yorkshire and you down south - make a change ;)
ReplyDeleteThankfully I'm retired so don't have to go out in it unless I really, really have or want to. :)
Hi Dominic- I'm waiting for the first big snowfall here in Southwestern France. We'll see. I hear it's a comin'
ReplyDeleteThat is a LOT of snow! Do you have a snow shovel? I read where a lot of people don't even own such a thing in the UK. You took some very nice pictures but I'm getting cold looking at them!
ReplyDeleteNo snow shovel or snow chains. In fact absolutely no snow preparation whatsoever! I do have a pair of wellies!
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to you Samantha and Akelamalu - thanks for following!
nice...we have snow on the way..not much this weekend...only and inch but it will bethe first and then its all downhill from there...smiles. enjoy it...
ReplyDeleteWhat fun it is to see that much snow when you're not used to it. A novelty! Is it the kind you can pack to build a snow man or have a snow ball fight, or is it too light and fluffy?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
PS, I'll include you in my drawing if you'd like - I don't mind shipping to the UK. :)
over here in germany, it looks just like on your pics..
ReplyDeleteAh. Snow. Had it right before Thanksgiving out here in the land of rain that is otherwise known as Washington State.
ReplyDeleteThe picks are far better (for me) than being in it.
Have you checked out my blogfest happening dec. 12-18th, if no go now. It's for query letters and there's a prize.

Thank you Michelle .. that would be great.
ReplyDeleteI saw your blogfest Jodi ... I might give it a try, but never having written one, I thought it might show!
My kids are anxiously awaiting snow here in NY. Could you send some our way? LOL. (Don't tell my husband that I said that!)
ReplyDeleteHow's the weather where I live? Well, I came from 20-30 degrees Celsius (in Mexico) to minus 10 degrees below zero (in Canada). So, I'm freezing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen snow in close to two years so that's nice.

Hi Dom I did reply to your comments about my blogfest, but don't have an email address for you to reply and as you've asked again I thought I'd post my answer here: I'm not surewhere the famous person idea srang from. All it says is:
ReplyDeleteDescribe *a person's* living space in no more than 500 words so that we can vividly imagine the absent person. Then guess from the descriptions posted who lives in a room like this? i.e. Write a description of a room and then others may respond by describing the TYPE of person who might live there.
* LINKEY will remain open until next Saturday 11th December. I really hope you and others can join in. I think it would be FUN! thanks :O)
Gosh, thought I'd commented earlier. I love these pics, you have quite a snow garden! ;) We have some here too but not as much.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
'tis a lovely snowfall, to be sure! We're getting our first taste of snow here in Ohio this week. I prefer the warmer months but there is something simply magical about a clean, pure snowfall.
ReplyDeleteLove your snowy pictures. Very cool. Happy Winter :-)
