Welcome to another round of Microfiction Monday courtesy of Susan at Stony River. Each week Susan posts a new picture and invites us to write a story in 140 characters or less.
Today's picture:
I seem to be habitually running late these days, but here is my offering at last!
Emily is arrested by the fashion police (flying squad)
(Is anyone else old enough to remember The Sweeney on UK TV?)
Earth - check. Alien Creature - check. Strange clothing - check. So where's Doctor Who?
(OK I'm targeting the UK audience today!)
"Touch me again, buster," hissed Julie, "and I'll break your finger!"
Calling all writers - take a look at my Blogfest and plaese sign up!! Thanks :D
*hugs* to lovely writers
This made me smile. Fashion police indeed. Shame she wasn't wearing a red cape. That would have put a whole different spin on the little red riding hood story. It wasn't a wolf at all but a hybrid alien species.

LOL! I liked them all. Yes I remember the Sweeney. Not a follower though Impressed with all your blogging gadgets too:O)
ReplyDeleteGood ones, Dom, although I admit I'm unfamiliar with the last one. Not all British TV is shown in Canada.
ReplyDeleteChange of subject - wanted to tell you first - I just reached 100 followers. I'm not throwing an online party or anything, but, as you so recently did it, you'll know how it feels. Feels nice, not smug at all.

Fashion police and broken fingers - nice combination! LOL
ReplyDeleteI like that you offered several takes...what, you mean today isn't Monday still? ;)
ReplyDeleteFun as always!
I have to admit - Micro-fiction scares me! Not to read it, to write it. Your entries are fabulous. And I don't even watch those shows.
ReplyDeleteThat moussie in your blogfest picture is darling. Talk about brave (as in reckless, methinks).
Ahaha.. these are great and too funny! I love them! :)
ReplyDeleteI know that this is an older post, but on the up chance that you'll look at it anyway I have a book for you.
ReplyDeleteThe Writer's Digest Character Naming Sourcebook by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
It helps me a lot, it gives meanings and source. Hope that helps.
