Today's topic is Disclosure

This was a really hard subject this week - so I only have two for you!!

Behind the velvet
Cocooned within wooden walls
Forgive me Father

Haunted by headlines
Shackled to a shameful past
Life imprisonment

  1. I really like the way the first one is worded!

  2. Nicely done. I like them both. The fellow in the second needs to pay a visit to the fellow in the first. :)

  3. I don't know how you do it! Both of them are so good and really capture what they are trying to express. That being said. I think the one about confession is my fave!

  4. With my history in the newspaper business, I have to like the second one best, but the first is quite poignant, Dom. Not, however, as poignant as "shackled to a shameful past"! At least the first haiku includes forgiveness following the disclosure, whereas the second implies none in the person's lifetime.
By the way, I played around with a story using different fonts. I used more than 50 font names, but couldn't come up with much of a plot.

  8. You did well, even if the theme wasn't an easy one. I like to make us all think a little - whats the fun if they're too obvious or easy, right? Great takes on theme, well done!

  9. I loved these. I would never have guessed you found the theme tough. They are brilliant. I wish I'd thought of those themes on the theme. :O)
